Bridger Bowl ski area, Montana:  The 8 great ski lifts here are in great condition. With a total of 71 slopes to ski on; there's a pleasant mixture to satisfy everyone. This ski mountain has a much higher than average ratio of expert and advanced ski slopes and a much lower than average ratio of easy ski slopes. This ski hill receives on average, 29 feet annually, and that is one of the reasons this is such a glorious ski hill. The annual snowfall is more than average at this ski mountain. 

This is a sizeable ski area boasting a medium elevation difference when you compare it to other ski mountains in the region. Bridger Bowl has the biggest altitude difference for 45 miles. The Bridger Mountains in winter is a total snowboarding and skiing paradise. Tremendous exercise and just hanging out with your skiing buddies are great incentives to come.

Bridger Bowl has a lot of trails and an acceptable total of different ski lifts. This ski area has a drop from top to bottom of 2,600 feet which is really impressive. With the terrain being 2,000 acres you won't be short of skiable terrain. Some of the Bridger Bowl runs could injure you easily; they'll make you really feel five years younger. This ski hill has a great range of ski trails; it's out of the question to get bored here. There aren’t any accommodations nearby, staying with us here at Montana High Country Adventures, Inc. will give you full accommodations and transportation to Bridger Bowl ski resort, but do plan ahead since it is a very popular destination. It's always cool to ski at Bridger Bowl with scores of advanced and expert ski trails. The wintertime panorama of the Montana highlands and the truly great ski trails make the journey to this area worthwhile. In winter the Montana highlands are a splendid place for snowboarding and skiing. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, in this general region, you'll come upon loads of ski mountains. The snow covered highlands of the Big Belt Mountains give this ski area an incredibly splendid landscape.

Special features: New, expert-only Schlasman's lift (457hz avalanche transceiver required to access lift) serves 311 acres of un-groomed, unmarked expert terrain. 

Bridger Bowl ski area Management Says:
Bridger Bowl offers a very diverse ski experience with the following ratings: 20% beginner, 30% intermediate, 20% advance and 30% extreme. Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.'' Skiers and snowboarders who wish to ride the new lift or access this terrain, collectively known as Ridge Terrain, must have an avalanche transceiver (457 kHz). It is strongly recommended to have a partner, a shovel and expert skiing abilities in addition to knowledge of the terrain before venturing into the area which will have no hazard markings, no grooming and no marked trails. Ridge Terrain contains numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snowfields which may end in unmarked cliffs. Clearly, Bridger Bowl's Ridge Terrain provides some of the most challenging skiing found within any ski area boundary!
   

Moonlight Basin Ski Area, Montana: Having 1,900 acres of skiable area lacking skiing territory won’t happen. This ski mountain has a much higher than average part of challenging trails and a part of beginner and intermediate trails much lower than average. Moonlight Basin has a first-rate mixture of slopes and enough different ski lifts to serve them all. This is a typical size ski area with a quite high drop when compared to other US Rockies ski mountains. You have to go 25,000 miles to get to a ski mountain with a fuller-size altitude difference. The annual snowfall is higher than average at Moonlight Basin. The snow here becomes really deep, approx. 33 feet every winter, and that is one of the reasons this is such a great ski mountain. There are 7 good ski lifts here, and they make for a calming ride up the hill.

The 4,166 feet of drop from top to bottom is perfect. All in all there are 97 ski runs to select from; there are plenty of ski runs for every ability. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of Montana is a great thing to do through the winter. You might be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this region has a lot of ski hills. Good exercise and getting out of the house for a while are splendid motives to come. It's always enjoyable to ski here with scores of demanding ski trails. The snow-white summits of Montana are something you can’t leave out in the event that you're keen on snowboarding and skiing. This ski hill has a good selection of ski trails; there's no way to get bored here. Some ski trails at Moonlight Basin are real challenging!...which makes for an unforgettable Montana skiing experience!

Big Sky Ski area, Montana:  Big Sky ski area in Montana offers access to some of the most diverse skiing and snowboarding amongst breathtaking vistas in the lower 48. Float down a 2,000 vertical foot, powder filled bowl beneath Lone Peak, weave through the Bavarian Forest; Ride the Lone Peak Tram for a bird's eye view of untamed wilderness.

The Big Sky ski area and Moonlight Basin interconnect gives you access to more skiing than anywhere else in the United States. With the Lone Peak Pass lift ticket, you can access 5,512 skiable acres and endless ways to navigate 4,350 feet of vertical drop. At 11,166 feet it's easy to see Lone Peak's appeal to every age and level of skier and boarder. Runs up to six miles long and glades and bowls covered in 400~plus inches of annual snowfall make a day on the slopes something unique and different for everyone.

Big Sky's snowboarding facilities bring you world class challenges no matter what your skill level. Big Sky's Swiss-made Zaugg Monster Pipe Cutter lets them fashion the only superpipe in the area. The Swifty and Pony Park are for people just getting their feet under them. The Ambush Park is for those who prefer not to have their feet under them at all.Longest Run

At Big Sky Ski area you'll find almost twice as many acres as skiers, where you can enjoy your elbow room.

Big Sky has a much higher than average share of tough slopes and a share of beginner and intermediate slopes much lower than average. The drop of 4,350 feet is more than enough for a splendid top to bottom run. The striking 33 feet of yearly snowfall is sufficient for incredibly nice depth. Having 3,600 acres of skiable terrain you will never be without skiable land. Big Sky is a great ski area featuring heaps of vertical feet if compared to other US Rockies ski resorts. Having a sum of 150 slopes to ski on; there are ample slopes for every capability. This ski resort boasts stronger snowfall than the local average each season. A delightful workout and spending some quality time in the wilderness will make you feel delightful. The nearest ski resort boasting a more sky-scraping drop from top to bottom is 25,000 miles away. There are 17 good ski lifts here, and they will get you up the mountain efficiently. Skiing and snowboarding in this part of the country is so much fun all winter season long. Cross Country Ski Trips in Montana
Here at Montana High Country Adventures, Inc. We can take you to some of the best groomed cross country ski trails in the Big Sky state of Montana 20 miles South of our lodge! This area encompass’s some of the most beautiful, picturesque landscape and mountain ranges in the United States! Come see for yourself why this area is so attracting to millions of travelers a year searching for adventure during both Summer and Wintertime! A host of activities can be enjoyed here for you and your family while providing everything you need from airport shuttle, to personal service during your entire vacation with us! 

Cross country skiing is a favorite Winter sport here in Montana and for good reason! Great exercise, fresh air, beautiful scenery, and good family time fun is enough reasons to consider Montana for your next cross county ski adventure trip! Located not far from our lodge is a first class, professional ski center providing everything you will need in order to make sure your ski trip is both safe, and enjoyable! This ski center grooms all it’s high quality trails that are appropriate for both the recreational and competitive skier on private and Forest Service terrain. Trails are generally 15 feet wide and laid with classic tracks and a skating lane. Montana’s plentiful cold snowy conditions and impeccable grooming give this area the reputation for having the best Nordic skiing this side of Norway!

Equipment rentals can be made at the ski center upon your arrival. Rental equipment to suit all your needs for classic and skate skiers of all ages and abilities. Available are quality Madshus skis with NNN bindings and Alpina boots. The knowledgeable staff is able to advise you on choices of touring or performance packages. The technicians keep the equipment in peak condition for your skiing enjoyment.
